G A T H E R I N G S | Canvas & Cocktails

This one right here has my heart. I have known Christie Farese since I worked for her daddy's law firm while she was a runner during her high school years - quite a few years ago! We might go months without seeing each other, but we always seem to pick up right where we left off - at the feet of Jesus. Which is where we sat as she shared a bit of her testimony with us this past Thursday evening. She reminded us that life can often times seem out of focus - taking us on some difficult twists and turns - but ultimately things begin to make sense when we start seeking the face of Jesus. Christie taught us the trick to painting an abstract is to step away from the canvas from time to time - not to get caught up in the small strokes - all the while reminding us what looks like a mess close up is truly a masterpiece from a distance.

This past year has been a bit of a blur to me - to say the least! Don't get me wrong, 2019 has been a wonderful, spectacular, amazing year. I have been blessed to welcome three grand-babies into this world, win the Republican nominee for the Mississippi House of Representatives, and hopefully win the seat on November 5th. I have been honored to meet over 8,000 new people - which I now consider my new best friends. Not to mention, I have been able to host several Gatherings at some amazing small businesses in our community. But as I sit and think about all that I have been able to accomplish this past year, it goes without saying, I owe each and every one of you a huge debt of gratitude. I could not have done any of this without you. Especially, and I mean especially, being able to brag on my grand-babies with all the pics and posts I have flooded you with for the last nine months.

Thank you, My Dear Friends!

Now, give me three tables of eight women + two hours and we can change the world. I love women. All shapes and sizes. All cuts and colors. I love how women can share the deepest parts of our hearts - sometimes hardly knowing each other - yet not one bit afraid to be real with one another other. I am just crazy about you Ladies. And I love spending time with you. This past Thursday evening was no exception. The time just flew by as we fellowship-ed together.

FRIENDS OF GATHERINGS

"Chic": The name says it all!

Scott Jackson from Colony Wine Market totally served up an easy hit with his selection of this Cava from Penedes, Spain called "Chic". The palate is elegant and distinctive, with white fruit notes of pear and apple and a refreshing acidity. This greenish-yellow golden hue with fine and persistent bubbles has a citrus lime and green apple aroma. Make sure you tell Scott to give you the "Gatherings Discount" when you run by to pick up your holiday happy at 121 Colony Crossing Way, Madison.

Seriously, how gorgeous are these cookies? So gorgeous it was hard to believe they were actually edible. Pepper Carter knocked it out of the park with these delicious + gorgeous pumpkin shaped cookies. Next Wednesday, November 6th, Pepper will be opening @whimseycookiecoridgeland, located in the Renaissance directly across from Gifts by KPEP. Please stop by and support this new small business and make sure you tell Pepper that Gatherings sent you!

Village Boutique never strikes out when dressing me in the latest luxurious and effortless essentials. Party season is upon us and Dana Canoy is loaded and ready to help you find your perfect Mistletoe outfit or just a fun top for your next night out. Located at 1888 Main Street, Suite F, Madison - Like and follow on Instagram for daily posts of new inventory.

Gifts by KPEP has been gracious enough to host Gatherings for a second time now. And I am hopeful we will be invited back for a third. This store is amazing. You can find so many great items from party plates, napkins, candles, glasses, to all kinds of pottery and glass platters, along with one of my new favorite jewelry lines, Julie Vos. Kendall Poole Ellis is one of the most gifted women I know. She just celebrated her 3rd year anniversary of Gifts by KPEP, located at 1000 Highland Colony Parkway, Suite 2008, Ridgeland, in the Renaissance. Like and follow on Instagram and stop by and see Kendall for great gift ideas for the holidays.

Stay tuned for an upcoming class before the end of the year.

I am working on it now!
