G A T H E R I N G S | Canvas & Cocktails

This one right here has my heart. I have known Christie Farese since I worked for her daddy's law firm while she was a runner during her high school years - quite a few years ago! We might go months without seeing each other, but we always seem to pick up right where we left off - at the feet of Jesus. Which is where we sat as she shared a bit of her testimony with us this past Thursday evening. She reminded us that life can often times seem out of focus - taking us on some difficult twists and turns - but ultimately things begin to make sense when we start seeking the face of Jesus. Christie taught us the trick to painting an abstract is to step away from the canvas from time to time - not to get caught up in the small strokes - all the while reminding us what looks like a mess close up is truly a masterpiece from a distance.

This past year has been a bit of a blur to me - to say the least! Don't get me wrong, 2019 has been a wonderful, spectacular, amazing year. I have been blessed to welcome three grand-babies into this world, win the Republican nominee for the Mississippi House of Representatives, and hopefully win the seat on November 5th. I have been honored to meet over 8,000 new people - which I now consider my new best friends. Not to mention, I have been able to host several Gatherings at some amazing small businesses in our community. But as I sit and think about all that I have been able to accomplish this past year, it goes without saying, I owe each and every one of you a huge debt of gratitude. I could not have done any of this without you. Especially, and I mean especially, being able to brag on my grand-babies with all the pics and posts I have flooded you with for the last nine months.

Thank you, My Dear Friends!

Now, give me three tables of eight women + two hours and we can change the world. I love women. All shapes and sizes. All cuts and colors. I love how women can share the deepest parts of our hearts - sometimes hardly knowing each other - yet not one bit afraid to be real with one another other. I am just crazy about you Ladies. And I love spending time with you. This past Thursday evening was no exception. The time just flew by as we fellowship-ed together.
